Save Our Mountains is dedicated
to
preserving the mountains, canyons,
and alluvial fans which create the
unique setting of Palm Springs.

Who We Are
SAVE OUR MOUNTAINS is a grassroots organization, that was formed
by the citizens who gathered 6,000 signatures to place Measure B, The Mountain Preservation Initiative and Measure
C, the Referendum on Palm Hills, on the March 2005 ballot.
Recognizing that the effort to save our mountains was to be an on-going endeavor, the organization remained active
following the election and is now gathering signatures to place a challenge of the 10-year extension of the Shadowrock
Development Agreement on the ballot.
We believe that in order for Palm Springs to sustain a high quality of life and remain economically viable, the
natural beauty of our hillsides, canyons and mountains, that make Palm Springs so special, must be protected.
